Why should I not wear my contacts on an airplane?

Answered By Tim Lockhart, Editor

The continuous flow of air conditioning and the decreased humidity may cause your contact lens to get dry. This may lead for you to get uncomfortable especially if you are inclined to have "dry eyes."

If you have the tendency to be asleep during plane flights and you are using daily wear contact lenses, it is advisable that you remove your lenses and bring with you your eyeglasses.
